Why this page exists before the content does

Because moving pages later is worse than planning for them now. This site is built as a full men's routine, not a shaving site that grew, and hair is one of the six sections the structure reserves from day one. Publishing the section empty would be padding; hiding it and adding it later means restructuring the navigation and issuing redirects for every URL underneath. So it is here, it is honest about its state, and it points you at what already exists.

If you arrived looking for clippers, the three cards above are the closest things on the site today, and two of them are more relevant than they sound.

What already helps

What this section will cover

The plan, in the order the content engine will work through it:

• Clippers, ranked. Same four published figures we use for trimmers — runtime, charge time, cutting range, washability — plus motor type, which matters far more on a scalp than on a beard because dense hair stalls a weak motor.
• Cutting your own hair. A genuinely procedural guide, because it is a sequence with a right order and most bad home haircuts are the order rather than the tool.
• Styling products, decided. Pomade, clay, cream and paste do measurably different things, and the difference is hold and shine, both of which are describable without any of the language the category actually uses.
• Scalp and shampoo. Where it overlaps with skin more than most people expect, and where the ingredient-list logic in the skin section transfers directly.

How this section gets filled

The same way everything else here was built: keyword research first, so the pages answer questions people actually ask rather than questions that are convenient to answer, then published specifications compiled from manufacturer documentation, then the arithmetic. No page will go up here because the grid looked empty.

One consequence of that policy is visible on the electric section, which ships with one guide instead of three because the research supported one. We wrote down the gap rather than filling it, and this page is the same discipline applied a step earlier.

The standard these pages will meet

Every page on this site names one pick decisively before it explains anything, prints the arithmetic behind its score, names at least one product it would not buy, and cites a manufacturer source for every specification it states. The methodology page sets it out in full, including what we have not done — which is test any of it. That does not change when this section fills up.
